The limited-edition beer (6% ABV) will be available exclusively to the on-trade in 250ml bottles from 1 April until September.
It is flavoured with Chinotto, a citrus fruit that is grown and harvested in Liguria, north-west Italy. Peroni has designed a special glass for the beer, and recommends serving it over ice, garnished with a twist of orange peel.
Summer run
The company is marking Ambra's launch by opening a bar at Somerset House Terrace, London, which will remain open until the end of September. Chef Francesco Mazzei, of London restaurant Sartoria, has created a menu of Italian dishes to accompany the site's drinks offer.
Gluten-free
Peroni's gluten-free iteration of its flagship lager, Peroni Nastro Azzuro Gluten Free, which it announced in February, will become available for on-trade customers on 1 April alongside Peroni Ambra.
Its eponymous lager came 11th in The Morning Advertiser's Top 100 Drinks.
