Be At One talks multiple city sites as it opens second Leeds pub
The operator, which was shortlisted in the Best Drinks Offer category at the Publican Awards 2017, is taking on the Boar Lane pub in the city centre.
Leeds is only the second city to have multiple Be At One sites, after London. Company director Steve Locke explained the firm had chosen to open an additional site in the West Yorkshire city because of the potential for a smaller, high-turnover site to complement the existing site in Millennium Square.
“We’re really excited to have secured a second site in Leeds because it marks another milestone in the Be At One journey.
“We have the infrastructure and management in place in the city, so are confident it will be a big success without cannibalising sales at the existing site. It will be a good test and put into practice our long-held belief that we can open multiple bars in cities around the UK.”
The 3,000sq ft venue will close for refurbishment before reopening as a Be At One in early April. Locke said that the site pays homage to the company’s original site in Battersea, south London.
“The site has an old-school, neighbourhood bar feel to it – very much in keeping with our original Battersea venue that we opened back in 1998,” Locke added.
