Board restructure for CPL Training Group

CPL Training Group has announced a restructure of its board to reduce costs and highlight revenue opportunities.

CPL Online managing director David Dasher has been appointed chief data officer of CPL Training Group, a role he will take on in April.

The shake-up is also part of a strategy to create a unified technology structure, to identify revenue opportunities and to reduce operating costs.

Dasher said the promotion of senior management to the board of directors means the business has continued to progress in all areas.

Data analytics fundamental

He added: “Over the past seven years, I have had the pleasure of seeing CPL Online flourish into a leading training and software company.

“After strategically assessing the position of both companies (CPL Online and CPL Training Group), I made the decision to move into this new role, which marks an important step in the direction of the business.

“Data analytics have become fundamental to our internal and external operations, and this will continue to grow in the future.”

Dasher will still oversee operations at CPL Online with senior management responsibilities for the day-to-day running of the business.

Market leading company

CPL Training Group CEO Daniel Davies, who is also Institute of Licensing chairman, praised Dasher on his work as managing director.

He added: “Dasher has made a significant impact on the business. Having started with a team of five employees in 2010, Dasher called upon his experience and knowledge to develop CPL Online into the market-leading company it is today.

“The business now has more than 120 staff and is in a strong position to continually progress and invest in products and services.”

Davies outlined Dasher’s new role in delivering continual growth and development of both the company’s brands.
