Beds & Bars
The operator behind the likes of Belushi's has been shortlisted in two categories at the upcoming awards. Last year saw Beds & Bars appear in The Sunday Times International Track 200, which ranks the UK’s mid-market private businesses with the fastest growing international sales, and the company will hope to cap off the year by securing a prestigious Publican Award at March's ceremony.

New World Trading Company (NWTC)
NWTC operates 16 pubs that incorporate restaurants and had a hugely successful 2016. Not only did the company walk away with two Publican Awards at the ceremony early in the year, it also reported a profit increase of 63%, substantially expanded its portfolio of sites and launched its new employee engagement app, Tribes.
Sports Bar & Grill
This London-based operator is, despite the name, about much more than just its sport operations. The six-strong company won Best Pub Brand/Concept at the 2016 Publican Awards for taking the concept of a sports bar and giving it broader appeal. At the time, editor of The Morning Advertiser Ed Bedington said: "This is a great example of a traditional concept being turned on its head."
Star Pubs & Bars
After being a finalist in this category at the 2016 awards, Star Pubs & Bars will be hoping to go one better at this year's ceremony, which will once again be taking place at Battersea Evolution, London. The Heineken-owned pubco has drawn praise on its operations for its strong approach on training and developing licensees.
