‘We're going to take X Factor on and be Christmas no 1’: pub takes on challenge with festive video
The Woodstock Arms in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, was joined by staff members and regulars to sing ‘Jingle Bells’ last week.
The video was dedicated to the pub’s oldest regular, Pete — donning a reindeer jumper in the front row — who was born in the pub almost 90 years ago.
Christmas hit no.1
Woodstock Arms licensee Owain Jones said: “It was a great night, I think we had a lot of fun, it got a bit wild.”
Jones added: “I obviously want to be a star one day, so I put two and two together and decided to make a music video.”

“Fingers crossed, we'll get in there for Xmas. Let’s do it!”
A worthy cause
Jones pledged to donate £1,000 to the charity Age UK if the video receives 100,000 views.
The pub has worked in partnership with the video production company Sweet Soda and music producer Marc Canham.
