These two sides may currently reside at seventh and twelfth in the Premier League, but let's not forget that they are the last two title-winning teams. This Saturday lunchtime kickoff is going to be the first Premier League game in almost a fortnight and football fans are likely to be chomping at the bit for both some footballing action and pub food alongside it.

Rugby Union: Toulon v Saracens (Saturday 3.15pm)  - BT Sport 2

The standout fixture from the opening weekend of the European Champions Cup action sees last year's winners, Saracens, face the runners-up of last season's French Top 14, Toulon.

NFL: Atlanta Falcons @ Seattle Seahawks (Sunday 9pm) - Sky Sports 2

This weekend is the first time 2013 Super Bowl winners Seattle Seahawks have been on TV this season. The Willoughby Arms in Kingston, west London will be looking to capitalise on the occasion, having become the unofficial UK hub of the Seahawks. For all pubs though, this represents an intriguing match-up between two teams that have only lost one game each so far this season.

Football: Liverpool v Manchester United (Monday 8pm) - Sky Sports 1

The two most-decorated sides in English footballing history, with 38 league titles between them and a bitter rivalry going back decades, meet on a Monday night for the first time ever. Which means this is not going to be just any ordinary slow Monday night for pubs showing the game; extra bar staff will need to be at the ready to serve fans of both clubs and neutrals alike.
