The forward, who scored 185 goals in seven years for Arsenal, spent five hours greeting fans and signing books at the pub.
Greene King pub the Tollington, which is closely associated with Arsenal due to its proximity to their Emirates Stadium, is run by lifelong Arsenal fan Martin Whelan and has previously played host to six launches of books about the club.
"Since people have finished work, we've had a huge queue, so it's a constant stream of customers," Whelan said.
