The venue name was purchased by Punch and has been used as a flagship brand to roll out the US-style sports bar concept, with a food offer to match, across the UK.
The Sheffield site, run by manager Matthew Burgess and team, offers everything you would expect from a sports venue – more than 30 televisions across the wall space, back-to-back sporting occasions, a range of lagers and ales – including examples from local breweries and popular Continental lagers – and grill food to go with it, including locally sourced steaks.
Food
Specifically, the food offer is heavily reduced for students, with 10% off with an NUS card. Numerous value ‘beer and a burger’ style deals also exist – as do drinks offers specifically aimed at the student market.
Events such as quiz nights and all-day sports broadcasting events are also run to attract students and a special social media channel – Champs Students – was created.
