Britain’s pubs are being given the chance to be home to the nation’s best beer garden in a new summer campaign.

Pub business insurance specialist SME Insurance Services (SMEi) has launched Britain's Best Beer Garden to champion the great British pub and the huge variety of beer gardens available.

Commercial director of SME Insurance Jonathan Webber said: “There are some stunning beer gardens across the UK. However, they’re often largely undiscovered or unappreciated. With summer upon us, we wanted to shine the spotlight on the best outdoor facilities local pubs have to offer and crown the champion.”

To enter, licensees can submit images of their beer gardens here where the top three pubs will win gift vouchers for a selection of retailers with first prize being a £500 gift voucher.

The champion pub garden will also win the opportunity to have a professional photographer take photos of the venue in all its glory.

Entries are now open and will be accepted until midnight on Wednesday 31 August 2016 with the shortlisted pubs being put to a public vote on Facebook.

Webber added: “We provide insurance cover to some fantastic pubs and wine bars with lots of them attracting many of their customers purely because of their unique and inviting beer gardens.

"We know the effort that landlords and staff put into making these gardens special, so if you feel your pub could be number one in the Britain’s Best Beer Garden 2016 competition, we would urge you to enter straight away.”
