GBBF: Best of social media as licensees plan 'vital research'

After the Campaign for Real Ale's Great British Beer Festival got into full swing yesterday, The Morning Advertiser looks at the best from social media on the first day

Licensees at the Station Inn, Hull, were too busy to visit on trade day, but planned extensive product research as the festival continues into the rest of the week.

Caveman Brewery also hit the festival to do some vital ‘research’.

CAMRA announced the winner of Champion Beer of Britain at an awards dinner at Hilton Hotel, Olympia, London last night (August 9).

Last year’s winner with Cwtch, Tiny Rebel’s stand was a popular one at the event during yesterday’s trade day (August 9).

Beer writers Pete Brown and Jeff Evans were on hand to sign books and talk all things beer.]

Five Points Brewery lapped up the atmosphere.

Charles Wells brewers were at the festival in force.

And there was plenty of food on offer to match with the 900 beers, cider and perries on offer.
