The Pelton Arms in Greenwich has been brought to the market as a leasehold opportunity by Fleurets.
The pub, which is available off a guide price of £390,000, has had an eclectic history. In between the filming of The List of Adrian Messenger in the 1960s, the pub was used as a local watering hole by Tony Curtis, Frank Sinatra, Kirk Douglas and the rest of the star-studded cast. The 2010 Only Fools and Horses spin-off series, Rock & Chips, was filmed within the pub.

Away from film and TV, the Pelton Arms also has a wide-ranging music history. It has played host to many bands over the years, with Up the Junction-rockers Squeeze playing the venue not long ago. Furthermore the likes of Oasis and Blur have filmed music videos locally, capitalising on the attractive yet idiosyncratic location.
More recently, the pub secured a TripAdvisor certificate of Excellence award in 2014, and was south-east runner-up for the 2013, 2014 and 2015 CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Pub of the Year award; eventually becoming Pub of the Year in 2016.
The pub is steeped in memorabilia that alludes not only to its own past but also the area's history. Old photographs and a map mounted on the wall hint towards the area’s origins as a dockland for the importation of coal from the North.
Simon Bland from Fleurets commented: “I expect plenty of interest, especially from buyers involved in the live music scene, who may be drawn to a pub which really does offer something a little different.”
