Enterprise launches latest "managed expert" partnership

Enterprise Inns has announced plans to work with The Marylebone Leisure Group and create the Marmalade Pub Company.

The new venture will be the fifth "managed expert" agreement for the pubco, and follows the recently announced deal with Oakman Inns to develop Hunky Dory Pubs, which will see its first site open in

It is only nine months into the expanding managed partnership model - having kicked off with Rupert Clevely's Hippo Inns last October.

Crafted

The Marylebone Leisure Group is a multi-site bar group with six sites across the capital, focusing on high-quality infused spirits and liqueurs, hand-made in the company’s in-house laboratories. It was founded by property lawyer Ben Avigdori and operator Lawrence Santi in 2011.

Bars in the group include the Marlyebone, Clerkenwell & Social, Bar Italia in Uxbridge and The Princess of Wales in Primrose Hill.

Simon Townsend, chief executive of Enterprise Inns, said: “We are delighted to be working with the MLG team who have quickly built a reputation for quality sites that offer customers a great experience.

"This is further evidence of the progress we are making in developing our managed house estate at Enterprise.”

Excited

Santi said: “We are massively excited about this opportunity and look forward to working with Enterprise Inns. We have always felt that our business and brand potential was bigger than our current exposure to the market and with Enterprise as a partner, we now have a clearly defined path for our continued growth.”

Avigdori said: “The opportunity to partner with the largest pub freeholder in the UK is one which we simply could not turn down.

"Enterprise bring an obvious depth of possibilities with them and our experience as a multi-site bar operator stands us in good stead to maximise the potential within their estate.”
