Pub closed for second revamp in 13 months

The Needle & Awl in Rushden is closed for three weeks while the latest refurbishment takes place.

The Northamptonshire pub will reopen as a Hungry Horse pub restaurant so there will be a new menu as well as new décor.

It is the second time the pub has been renovated recently following a £130,000 makeover in April 2015.

Speaking about the latest incarnation, a spokesperson on the pub's website said: "We'll be open again soon and the pub will be better than ever."

A spokesperson for Greene King said: "The Needle & Awl closed on Tuesday 24 May to undergo a complete refurbishment.

"We're looking forward to reopening and welcoming old and new guests to the pub on Wednesday 15 June."

The pub also stated on its website: "We're sure you'll love our new look and we look forward to welcoming you back soon."
