Seeing off hot competitors, Star Pubs & Bars and BrewDog, Deltic impressed judges with an improved focus on entertainment throughout the business and shifting the emphasis from just drinks, as well as clever changes to its management team.
Other key achievements included the launch of its innovative marketing scheme which has led to significant improvements in communications with customers.
The company has worked hard to build the business back into an operation which is setting standards throughout the industry, and even seen the company move out of its comfort zone with the launch of its daytime operation Bar & Beyond.
One innovation has seen Deltic bring in a sales director and sales manager, which has seen the company’s sales more than double, with booth bookings really driving that growth, while an entertainment manager has also helped take the business forward, delivering significant revenue uplift.
The company has also introduced a new intranet programme – Deltic Connections, to drive communication amongst the team.
Ed Bedington, editor of the Publican’s Morning Advertiser, said: “There’s not many companies that manage to take home three Publican Awards on the night, and Deltic deserve their hard won success.
“This is a business operating in a tough and challenging market, but it’s not standing still and its setting standards for the rest of the sector to follow.”
