Revolution Bars Group to strengthen food offer

Revolution Bars Group, the premium bar and dining operator, has announced the creation of three new group management positions in its catering team.

The first of these positions is for ‘Head of Food Innovation’, which has been filled by Mark Rush, the group’s current executive chef - a role he has been in for over two years. Prior to this he held catering management positions at PizzaExpress and Barracuda Group.

In his new role, Rush will focus on ensuring that the food offerings at both Revolution and sister-brand Revolución de Cuba are “exciting and innovative, so customers have the best dining experience every time they visit”.

The other two positions that have been created are for kitchen area managers.

These roles are currently being advertised for, and successful candidates will be tasked with ensuring that the company’s 60 sites can “draw on even more expert catering advice” to develop food sales across both its brands.

Mark McQuater, chief executive, said: “As we prepare for the New Year, I am delighted to announce this substantial uplift in resources to further develop our food sales in the casual dining area of Revolution Bars Group PLC throughout 2016. This creates a substantial new career ladder for those wishing to pursue a professional career in catering that can take them all the way to the senior management team.”
