Draft House set out three year growth plans
McVeigh told PMA sister publication M&C: “We’re looking to open three to four sites in 2016, four to five sites in 2017and five to six sites in 2018. We’re looking for least one of the sites next year not to have a London postcode.”
To aid its expansion the company has retain property adviser Marc Rogers to seek sites for a 2,500sq ft to 7,500sq ft model and a 500sq ft to 1,500sq ft format.
McVeigh said: ““I am personally very excited to be working with Marc. We have had an informal relationship for a long time and I have been impressed with his appetite for digging up off-market gems. He is a hustler.”
The seven-strong group plans to open a further two sites in 2016 following the launch of its pub in the Bower development in Old Street in Spring.
It is currently in legals on two sites and is believed to have made an offer on a unit in Milton Keynes.
The group’s initial expansion will mean the creation of 12 supervisor roles and four assistant manager roles as well as three kitchen manager and three general manager roles.
Last week, Draft House revealed it had started to pay its staff the National Living Wage.
The group also launched its Career Progression Plan, which aims to show a clear and swift route to senior roles.
