The bottle launch, which features a moustache on the label as well as a competition giving people the chance to invent their own Mo Beer, will be supported by special Movember promotions from the Faversham-based brewer.
Pubs buying two firkins of Spitfire Ale will receive a free promotional kit to encourage customers to get involved. The POS kit contains a collection of posters, drip mats, a moustache pump crowner, and t-shirt, all featuring new limited edition Spitfire Movember branding.
Licensees and drinkers are encouraged to sign up for this year’s Movember and enter the competition by submitting their Mo Beer creation here. Submissions need to include a name, beer style, hop and special ingredient. The promotion runs until December 31, 2015 with the winner invited to help create their beer at the Shepherd Neame brewery working on every aspect of the process, from brewing to label design. They will also receive a year’s supply of beer.
Following its launch last month, Spitfire Gold will join Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale as supporting partner of the charity fundraiser which encourages men to grow a moustache throughout the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues.
Spitfire Ale brand manager Will Upfield said: “We are very proud to be a Movember partner, and are delighted to be able to support the charity by offering this unique prize. We hope the competition will encourage more pubs and drinkers than ever before to get involved.”
