Bedlam Pilsner

Sussex brewery Bedlam has released its first kegged beer, Bedlam Pilsner.

The pilsner is a German style 4.2% ABV brew, made using Saaz and Tettnager hops paired with pale malts to create “a mild spiced aroma and a refreshing flavour”.

Bedlam Pilsner joins Bedlam’s repertoire of four cask conditioned beers: Bedlam IPA, Bedlam Golden Ale, Bedlam Porter and Bedlam Benchmark, a best style amber ale.

Golden Promise

Golden Promise

Caledonian Brewery has released a new offering in its guest beer range for mid-summer, named Golden Promise.

The 5% ABV harvest ale is Caledonian’s August guest beer and is brewed with Hallertau Hersbrucker and First Gold hops.

Billed as an accompaniment for pork and lamb or desserts such as apple pie, Golden Promise has tasting notes of “sherbet lemon” and a “sweet malty flavour”.

Queen Bohemian Lager

RnR Brew Ltd has teamed up with the band Queen to produce a beer to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Queen Bohemian Lager is a 4.7% ABV Czech style pilsner produced using Czech barley malt and Noble Saaz hops.

Available in 330ml bottles, the label features the original Queen crest designed by Freddie Mercury while he was a student at Ealing Art College in London.

Sharp's Point Break

Sharp’s Brewery has launched a brand new limited release blonde ale, Point Break. The new beer is available across on-trade outlets throughout mainland UK until 31​August, and is part of Sharp’s "ongoing commitment to creating new and exciting flavours".

Point Break is the second in a series of limited release brews that will donate 5p from every pint sold to the Foundation for Environmental Education to help support sustainable beaches in Cornwall and across the UK. 

Smooth and sweet on the palate, with a pale straw colour with a "clean, moreish finish", Point Break is a 4.6% ABV blonde ale made from extra pale malt along with torrefied wheat, hopped with East Kent Goldings and Chinook.
