The range includes: Sleepy Bulldog Pale Ale, 33 cl, 4.8 % ABV, Wisby Pils, 33 cl, 5.0 % ABV and Sitting Bulldog IPA, 33 cl, 6.4 % ABV.
Phil Harding, director of Boutique Bar Brands said: “Gotlands have a great history and provenance and their range of beers is fantastic. We have already had a lot of positive interest from the trade and we are sure that we can quickly establish Gotlands as the UK’s number one Swedish brewery. We believe that the beers will have a wide appeal to both the large ex pat community and the discerning British beer drinker.”
Cheddar Ales
Cheddar Ales has renamed its seasonal summer pale ale to make it a year-round brew named Hardrock Pale Ale.
The 4.4% ABV light gold, very hoppy pale ale with spicy, herbal notes and a floral citrus finish, is made using a blend of Brewers Gold, Mount Hood and Chinook whole hops.
Jem Ham, managing director of Cheddar Ales, said: “People loved the summer pale ale last year, and wanted to have it in their venues throughout the year, but the name ‘summer Pale ale’ was a sticking point when winter fell.”
Hardrock, which was inspired by the rock formations characterising the Mendips and around the Cheddar Gorge, will be available from in 500ml bottles, 30ltr eco-kegs or doliums and 9g firkin casks.
Ethan's Marvellous Medicine
Elephant School Brewing is launching a new beer, named Ethan’s Marvellous Medicine, which according to the brewer, represents “a totally new concept in beer”.
The 3.7% ABV beer, can be consumed in six different flavours with the addition of non-alcoholic flavour shots, or straight up.
Flavourings can be pre-mixed in cask, ready to drink or measured in a shot glass and added to the ale at serve.
Ethan Kannor, head brewer at Elephant School brewing said: “It’s a radical, rebellious kind of beer that bends the rules of ale-drinking. I think it’ll appeal to open-minded people, anyone who likes to try different things and those who fancy a change from the norm. There’s nothing to stop you trying each of the 720 possible combinations by mixing all six flavours but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that.”
Just don't give up brewing to become a director Ethan.
