Brewdog unveils four new bar concepts
The four new concepts have been designed to be rolled-out across the UK rather than for single sites.
Brewdog’s second Leeds site will be home to Shuffle Dog. The draught-only bar will have four shuffleboard tables, vintage arcade games, and pinball machines, with the aim of creating an interactive environment for consumers.
Two of the new concepts, Dog House and Dog Eat Dog, will focus on expanding the brewers existing food offer. Dog House, set to launch in Glasgow, will be a full restaurant, bar and bottle shop under one roof.
Founders James Wyatt and Marin Dickie have faced a licencing battle at their Essex Road premises to open Dog Eat Dog, but say they are determined to push forward with plans. Previously home to casual dining restaurant Giraffe, the Angel site will serve a wide range of hotdogs and craft beers.
Marking a completely new departure for Brewdog, the Newington Fix in Edinburgh will serve artisan coffee during the day and craft beer after dark.
Speaking to the Publican’s Morning Advertiser sister title M&C Report, bar division head David McDowall said: “We are doing these concepts there is a rollout potential. We’re not hanging fire to see how the first sites go before looking for sites two, three and four. All the concepts are new avenues to showcase ours and other craft beers to find new ways to bring them to people.”
