The Mexican-beer brand will team up with leading bars across the UK in an attempt to put Britain’s rain-soaked drinkers in a beach mind set. The chosen bars will have beach-themed murals and soundtracks alongside mood lighting.
Staff will be trained to ensure they can make a perfect Corona serve, including how to perfectly slice the brand’s trademark lime wedge.
Marketing manager Steph Okell said: “We’re really excited to launch this campaign inviting consumers to ‘find their beach’-a unique place to each of us-the place we go to unwind, enjoy ourselves and share amazing experiences with friends.
“2015 is going to be a big year for Corona and we look forward to working with our trade partners to bring the beach spirit to the UK.”
The Hoxton Bar and Kitchen became the first on-trade venue to unveil the beach atmosphere at a launch party held last night.
Corona’s summer plans will be supported by a digital and nation-wide outdoor advertising campaign.
