A round-up of new products in the pub food market.

Sorbets

New Forest Ice Cream has extended its range of sorbets with the launch of a new raspberry variant.

The sorbet is available in 120ml tubs, aimed at providing for foodservice operators who want to increase their lighter dessert offering.

Christina Veal, director of New Forest Ice Cream, said: “The charm of this vibrant new sorbet combined with the sweetness of fresh fruit and a crisp finish makes this a hit with adults and children alike.

“Our passionate team has worked hard to create a great tasting, smooth product – here at New Forest Ice Cream we pride ourselves on the flavour and quality of our products, enjoyed by all generations for decades.”

The product is gluten and nut free, making it suitable for vegetarians and customers who require dairy free desserts.

Carpigiani

Carpigiani has announced five changes and upgrades to their range of soft serve units.

Each model in the range will now contain a built-in agitator, which helps to keep the mix at a more consistent temperature and allows for constant stirring of the product.

Scott Duncan, sales director at Carpigiani UK, said: “The introduction of the agitator within the chamber of all models means caterers can effectively create two products in one space saving appliance.

“We are proud to be the only manufacturer to offer this feature as standard across all of our soft serve ice cream range.”

In addition to this, all models now have a built-in defrost system to aid cleaning and a rear chimney exhaust, aimed at giving small kitchen operators the choice to place machines side by side with other equipment.
