TV duo the Hairy Bikers will launch a new BBC series on the ‘pubs that built Britain’ this summer.

Si King (left) and Dave Myers (second from right) have been spotted filming for the new show in pubs across the country, including the Three Pilchards in Polperro, Cornwall, and the Royal Standard of England in Forty Green, Buckinghamshire.

Anna O’Keefe (second from left), co-owner of the Royal Standard with Matthew O’Keeffe (right), said the pair filmed an episode about the Wars of the Roses and Morris dancing.

“The Hairy Bikers were the best visitors. They were full of enthusiasm, good humour and plenty of ad-libbing,” she said.
