Enterprise offers tenants new entertainment service

More than 500 Enterprise Inns publicans have signed up for a new live music service that enables them to find and book local artists through an online portal.

The pub company’s new partnership with Live&Loud aims to make it easier for pubs to book bands, solo artists and DJs in their area to help drive footfall and improve profitability. It costs £25 per week and allows pubs to access as many live acts as they need to book.

The musical matchmaking service was showcased at the recent enterpriselive roadshows, which offered publicans that registered there and then the first two months free.

On registering, a unique profile is created for the pub, detailing the kind of venue, availability of gigs with a range of budgets determined by the licensee and the type of music that appeals to customers. Registered artists can then apply through the online service, expressing interest in performing, based on commercial terms set by the pub.

'Provides a competitive edge'

Enterprise sales and marketing director James Armitage said: “We know that as well as driving footfall and providing a competitive edge, regular live music can help pubs build loyalty, particularly if they promote the entertainment through merchandising and ongoing social media engagement.

“Not only that; by giving local artists a platform on which to play to live audiences, pubs are helping acts grow their support and fan base. Many of the world’s most successful bands started out playing the pub circuit, and we’d love our pubs, at the heart of many communities, to be able to give the next wave a helping hand.

“The Live&Loud stage was a big hit at the roadshows, drawing a phenomenal response from publicans who were keen to sign up for the service.”

Mick Newton, co-founder and CEO of Live&Loud, said: “The beauty of our platform is that it takes the hassle out of booking talent. We will be helping Enterprise pubs maximise the opportunity by walking them through the process, but once an artist has expressed an interest in performing, all the publican has to do is accept the booking online.”
