Lee Brooks, who was been promoted from his role as training development chef at the company, replaces Paul Robbins who has worked for the company for 25 years.

Robbins has worked for the company, whose concepts include Baroosh and Chicken & Grill, in two stints first from 1986 as a stock taker and then retail area manager and from 1991 as food development manager.

He is looking for new opportunities. He said: “Together with the most wonderful group of inspired work colleagues over the years I am very proud to have contributed to the food offer flourishing and becoming integral to the strategy of the business. Of the future, I want to be self-indulgent and spend more time with my passion in the actual product and not all the distractions that come with an all-encompassing role.”

McMullen is launching a new pizza, burger and hot dog menu at the Saracens Head, in Ware, Hertfordshire, later this month.

The new food offer will be focused around freshly cooked pizzas, American style burgers and hot-dogs.
