The Marston’s Beer Company has updated its cask ale range, which is now compiled from six ‘Single Hop’ brews and six ‘Revisionist’ ales.

Following on from the success of the 12 Single Hop brews in 2012 and the six of 2013, Banks's Brewery’s assistant head brewer Simon Yates 2015 range will include three new hop varieties: Archer, Flyer and Belma also giving a nod to previous favourites: Motueka, Saphir, and Bravo.

The Revisionist range, under the aegis of NPD Brewer, Genevieve Upton, will showcase ingredients such as rosemary, juniper, Maple syrup and liquorice. The beers available will be: Ruby Liquorice Smoked Beer, Canadian Red, Juniper Pale Ale, West Coast IPA, Green Hop Beer and a Sardinian Bock.

Ian Ward, Marston’s commercial marketing manager said: “The ‘Single Hop’ beers provide the same understanding and discussion points as provided for wine lovers by words like Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio; whilst the ‘Revisionist’ beers will provide clearly understood access to historic beer styles, in a sessionable easy-to-drink style, and often with a modern twist. We are retrospectively discovering little known styles of beer and reinventing them.”
