The Birmingham-based group’s new site is being constructed at shopping and office development site the Mailbox and will provide fresh and seasonal modern European cuisine as well a sizeable drinks offer consisting of regional and international craft beers and wines.
Adam Freeth, managing director of Shaker Group, said: “We’re excited to be opening this venue on home soil.
“We’ve brought together a fantastic team to create an incredible design and food and beverage offer, which we believe will be a great addition to the new Mailbox and Birmingham’s world-class culinary scene.”
The venue was designed by interior design company Spencer Swinden and will feature large sharing tables, booth areas, an outdoor terrace and a “snug” section.
Melody Spencer, director of Spencer Swinden, said: “We were excited to work on Gas Street Social from the outset as Adam had such a clear vision of his concept of sharing and socialising.
“We’ve brought that to life with design that creates a fantastic energy throughout the whole venue amid big sharing tables and fluid seating to suit different sized groups in a hyper-modern setting of urban industrial glamour.”
