CQS introduces heart-shaped pasta for Valentine’s Day

Italian importer Continental Quattro Stagioni (CQS) has launched a range of heart-shaped pasta with Valentine’s Day in mind.

Claimed by CQS to be a great choice for a specials’ menu – the range comprises Cuori di Formaggio – a heart-shaped pasta filled with five cheeses, and Cuori Rossi – a red heart-shaped pasta filled with buffalo mozzarella, tomato and basil.

The company believed that the pastas were great for the busy chef, as they can be quickly re-heated from frozen

without compromising the quality of the dish.

Something different

Sandro Bevilacqua, vice chairman of CQS said: "It is wonderful to be able to offer our customers something a little bit different that they can use on their Valentine’s Day specials’ boards.

"This pasta range will hit the spot for those diners looking for something a little more romantic to eat."

The heart-shaped pasta is available in 3kg cases. List-price starts from £25.95 per case.

CQS is a division of Continental Wine and Food. It represents Italian wineries such as Cantina di Soave and Rocca delle Macie and has exclusive distribution agreements with La Molisana pasta, Montana meats and Roccheta waters.
