Thai inspired chicken strips introduced

BRF introduces versatile Thai chicken strips

BRF Europe has launched a range of Thai chicken strips suitable for a variety of different dishes.

Dipped ‘n’ Dusted Thai Chicken Strips are pieces of chicken that come in a sweet chilli crunchy coating.

BRF said the strips can be used as a starter, sharing platter, light bite, main course, or even as part of a buffet.

Starter ideas

As a starter option, the company suggested presenting the strips on a bed of green leaves with a Thai sweet chilli dipping sauce to complement and enhance the flavours of the chilli coating.

Alternatively, it said the strips work well with tempura vegetables, coconut shrimp and a selection of chilli and hoisin sauces as part of an Oriental-inspired sharing platter.

Or, for an authentic-tasting main course, the strips can be served with a dome of fragrant jasmine rice and a subtle lemongrass-infused sauce.

Songkran theme

BRF also advised that the strips would be ideal as part of a themed-menu during Songkran (Thai New Year), which runs 13 to 15 April.

A BRF spokesperson said: “Dipped ‘n’ Dusted Thai Chicken Strips can be cooked from frozen to order in minutes and in accordance with customer demand, minimising wastage while allowing outlets to easily monitor their stock.”

“Caterers can choose to deep fry or oven bake the strips, allowing kitchens of all sizes and facilities the opportunity to serve delicious Asian-flavoured cuisine quickly and easily.”

Dipped ‘n’ Dusted Thai Chicken Strips come under the Sadia brand. They are available in the UK from Plusfood (a subsidiary of BRF) in 3 x 1kg cases, with approximately 45 strips per case.
