The site, in Stratford’s East Village, has a menu that focuses heavily on meats cooked on a rotisserie and a large Robata flame grill. In addition, it is offering a variety of small plates and sharing food, along with a separate brunch menu.
Complementing the main menu’s selection of ribs and classic beef/chicken burgers is a shrimp burger, which consists of shrimps and king prawns in a brioche bun with coriander and relish (£10).
Other mains items include marinated tuna steak (£15) and smoked pork chop (£12).
There are also two vegetarian options. The corn burger, with sweetcorn, polenta, manchego, chilli, coriander and relish in a brioche bun is available for £9; while a grilled market garden – which includes barbequed marinated sweetcorn, courgette, peppers, fennel, red onion, halloumi cheese and a basil puree – is £10.
Smaller plates
The main menu also features salads, sides and a number of smaller plates. These include: grilled sardines (£6); grilled lemon and garlic king prawns (£6.50); and the grilled allotment – peppers, corn and courgette marinated in a secret recipe (£5.50).
Sharing dishes include a fish of the day – priced according to the market value – and a Porterhouse steak for £40. Whole, half, or quarter rotisserie chickens are available as well.
The venue’s brunch menu features a number of conventional options such as porridge (£3), granola (£3) and toast with various toppings (£4). For hungrier appetites, there an 8oz sirloin steak with two poached eggs available for £18.
Homemade milkshakes come in three flavours – banana, strawberry, and vanilla & peanut butter – for £2.50 each.
Sunday menu
A separate Sunday menu offers a selection of roasts, plus two new sharing dishes. The whole leg of lamb is studded with garlic and marinated with lemon and thyme, while the suckling pig is basted in a secret marinade. Both dishes serve four people and cost £60.
The rotisserie is also put to use for a dessert dish. Priced at £5.50, the rotisserie-grilled pineapple comes with clotted cream ice cream and shortbread.
Other dessert items include: peanut butter sundae (£6); brioche & marmalade bread & butter pudding with clotted cream ice cream (£5.50); and salted caramel tart with vanilla ice cream (£6).
The kids’ menu features child-sized portion smaller plates, main courses and desserts. All items are priced £5 or below.
Takeaway options
A takeaway menu leans heavily on rotisserie chicken. Coffee, together with a large range of artisan and craft bottled beers, can also be taken away.
Located close to the Westfield shopping centre, Neighbourhood also offers artisan beers on tap, a hand-selected wine list and innovative cocktails.
Faucet Inn founder and managing director Steve Cox said: “Neighbourhoodwill focus on the simple things done well, without fuss.
“Our service style will be relaxed to suit the atmosphere and our staff approachable, but assertive and informed."
