McMullen awards top managed pubs

McMullen, the Hertfordshire-based family brewer and pub company, has recognised its top performing managed houses in its annual awards ceremony.

Carl Farmer at the Saracen’s Head in Ware, Hertfordshire, was awarded Newcomer of the Year, Jennie White at the Jolly Butchers in Enfield, Greater London picked up Bar Person of the Year, while Chris and Letitia Allen of the Bull’s Head in Turnford, Hertfordshire won Manager of the Year.

Kitchen Team of the Year was won by the Baroosh site in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, at the awards ceremony at the Champions Gallery at Newmarket Racecourse.

The brewer also announced that it has been a “record breaking year” for the company and highlighted upcoming site developments including the Old Crown in Royston, which will be the next opening of McMullen’s new Chicken & Grill concept.
