The craft gin which is the first spirit to be launched by the family-owned Rademon Estate Distillery - Northern Ireland’s first and only craft distillery is made using fresh apples, elderberries, elderflower and Irish clover foraged and handpicked within the estate grounds and distilled with botanicals including juniper, coriander, orange peel, lemon peel and cassia and will become available to the on-trade online via Masters of Malt.
Rademon Estate Distillery co-founder and distiller, David Boyd-Armstrong said: “From handpicking, foraging and sourcing the botanicals, drawing our own fresh waters to managing the delicate distilling process in our custom copper still and bottling and labelling each bottle by hand, we are driven by a passion to create the finest premium gin in Ireland.”
Shortcross Gin takes its name from the local town close to the distillery called ‘An Chrois Ghearr’ which is Irish for ‘the short cross’.
