The scheme that is available as a mobile app or a card offers customers 10 points for every £1 spent in bars which can be redeemed when at the bar when 200 points have been earned.
“Our loyalty card gives our customers exceptional value, in fact ten times more return than they would get from other schemes in the retail market such as Nectar or Tesco Clubcard”,said Richard Bruce, Stonegate’s marketing director. “And unlike others in the pub industry we are allowing spending on drinks as well as food to be included.”
The loyalty scheme, called MORE, will be free to join and customers will earn 100 points for joining and an additional 50 for signing up with their twitter handle. Every tweet they send will be rewarded with another five points and extra points and offers will be available in the first eight weeks of the scheme.
Stonegate has spent £2.3m on its student business over the summer, which now includes 13 student-centric pubs that offer broadband, plugs and USB portals at tables, a grab and go takeaway counter, ATM services and complimentary printing as well as a range of craft beers.
Most recent to open are The Warehouse in Huddersfield, The Library in Durham, The Mailbox in Lincoln, The Faraday in Epsom, The Graduate in York, The Soarpoint in Leicester, The Roundabout in Plymouth, The Footage in Manchester and The Hope and Anchor in Liverpool.
