Imbiba Partnership, the investment vehicle led by John Connell, has completed its latest round of fundraising, raising £6m to invest across its two concepts Darwin & Wallace and Camm & Hooper.

The latest fund, which heavily oversubscribed, follows on from the £4.5m that was raised to aid the roll out of the two brands last year.

Darwin & Wallace opened its first location, No.11 Pimlico Road near Sloane Square last year, and its new site, No.32 on Clapham Common, last Thursday.

It is now about to close a deal on its third pub which will be in a more central London location and should be open by late summer, according to managing director Melanie Marriott.

Camm & Hooper, events-focused vehicle, plans to operate six sites within London in the next two years. The group opened its second location, Banking Hall in Cornhill Street last month and said it was currently viewing sites on a weekly basis and looking at areas such as Docklands and the West End.

The management team and founders have invested £830k so far into Darwin & Wallace and Camm & Hooper.
