To coincide with its 40th anniversary, Beefeater has relaunched its classic menu from 1974.

Dishes on the menu at the Whitbread brand include prawn cocktail and chicken liver pate to start, 6oz gammon and chips and 10oz rump steak Diane for main and black forest gateau and caramel apple crumble pie for dessert.

A new 8oz signature strip steak has also been added to the menu for a limited time as part of the 40th birthday celebrations.

Beefeater has also teamed up with Marston’s brewery to create Naughty Forty birthday beer, available both bottled and on tap.

Beefeater recently held a 40th anniversary birthday party at the Drury Club in central London, fronted by their newly appointed ‘boss of beef’ Vernon Kay.

Guests were served cocktails from a 1970’s inspired menu along with some of Beefeater’s best dishes from the past 40 years.

Dishes served at the party included canapés of steak skewers, prawn cocktail wraps, breaded mushrooms, cheese and onion flatbreads and profiteroles.
