The charity fund-raising drive kicks off next Sunday (18 May) at Yates’s in Hastings before setting off on a journey spanning hundreds of miles.
The event, to raise money for children's charity Variety, will see a BBPT passport journey throughout the UK visiting all of Stonegate’s 623 pubs and bars.
The launch party celebrating the start of the Tour takes place at Yates’s on Robertson Street at 10am with a Family Fun Day featuring Emmerdale stars Anthony Quinlan, Mike Parr and Adam Thomas.
The tour will then set off from 4pm along the south coast visiting Brighton, Hove, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Southampton. Other events planned include a boat party at the Ferry Boat Inn, Hayling Island, and Zoorb ball kicking on the beach at the Slug and Lettuce in Bournemouth.
Biggest yet
Toby Smith, Stonegate’s chief executive, said: “This will be our biggest charity fund-raising initiative to date and we are looking forward to raising thousands of pounds to make the lives of many families and their children that little bit easier. We also hope that our 12,000-strong team of fundraisers and our fantastic customers have a great time along the way.”
As part of the fundraising 50p from the sale of special Charity tipples, Strawberry Pimm’s or a pint of specially brewed real ale, The Crawler (Golden Blonde ale 4.1 ABV) will be donated to Variety.
The tour will culminate with a party at Slug and Lettuce, Tower Bridge on Friday 26 September.
