The inaugural Betfred Pub Poker Tournament attracted 220 players from 140 bars and clubs across the country.

The 13-week league ended with last week’s grand final at which snooker legend Jimmy White gave out awards to everyone who took part.

The overall winner was Jason Clarke from Rileys Snooker Club in Exeter, who said he was “in shock” at winning a £5,000 pro-sponsorship deal and £1,300 in cash.

Alongside the main event there was repechage tournament where all runners up could win a further £500, and with a £100 bounty for knocking out Jimmy White.
