PMA partners Hotelympia's Craft Beer Takeover

The Publican’s Morning Advertiser is the exclusive media partner of Craft Beer Takeover, which takes place at trade show Hotelympia next week.

The show runs for four days from Monday, 28 April to Thursday, 1 May at London’s Excel.

Craft Beer Takeover will feature a range of craft beers from breweries including Brew Dog, Adnams, Meantime Brewing Company, Batemans, Wadworth, London Fields Brewery and Portobello Brewing Company.

Another key feature of the show is the Hotelympia Stage, which will feature chefs including Tom Kerridge of the Hand & Flowers in Marlow, Buckinghamshire and the 2013 winner of Masterchef: The Professionals, Steven Edwards from South Lodge Hotel in West Sussex.

Adam Marshall, chief executive of London-based pub and bar group, Grand Union, is among the judges of the show's Innovation Awards. Four winners will be selected from 26 finalists in categories including tabletop & design, catering equipment, food & drink and technology on the first day of the show (28th April), with delegates pitching behind-closed-doors to Hotelympia’s Innovation Idols, which include Marshall.

Finalists include Orderella with ‘Orderella’ an ordering and payment app; Jamix’s ‘Techef In-Touch’ a web service offering allergen and GDA information; TenderOne Bar Services with its ‘TenderOne’ which precisely measures 32 different cocktail ingredients and Winnow Solutions with ‘Winnow System’ a food waste smart meter.

A pub chefs is among the 10 finalists in the show's 2014 Hot Talent competition – a contest to uncover the UK’s brightest young hopefuls in the hospitality and foodservice industry which is in association with the PMA's sister website BigHospitality.

Sam Bryant, 28, head chef, at the the Dabbling Duck, Kings Lynn will be competing to win the opportunity of work experience at some of the UK’s most respected restaurants and hotels.
