Low calorie Champagne launches

A low calorie Champagne has been launched ahead of the summer.

Skinny Rosé was developed specifically for the UK market by Champagne specialist Finest Fizz and artisan producer Tribaut.

It is said to have, “red fruits flavours such as strawberry and raspberry” and is an Extra Brut (very dry) style of Champagne, which means it has no residual sugar and therefore contains less calories.

Extra Brut styles of Champagne have existed at the top end of the market for some time but this is the first to be more reasonably priced, said Finest Fizz.

“This delicious Premier Cru Rosé champagne is one of the few pink skinny Champagnes available, just perfect for relaxing in the sun on a summer’s day,” a spokeswoman said.

Sparkling wine is becoming more and more popular in the on-trade, fuelled by the economic phenomenon of “weekend millionaires.”
