The project is currently in the testing phase and will be trialled at 60 Enterprise pubs in April.
“Once the pilot is complete and everybody is happy with it, the online ordering facility will be rolled-out across the business,” a spokesman told the Publican’s Morning Advertiser’s sister title M&C Report.
The system, which has been developed by iTrade Network alongside Enterprise, will allow licensees to order any drinks online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This could potentially be expanded to other products in the future.
There will be online exclusive deals and tenants will be able to track the progress of their orders.
Convenience
The spokesman said: “It will have a number of really interesting features on it, in terms of allowing publicans to analyse previous orders. People are far more used to shopping online now. The whole thing is about convenience for the publican.”
The online ordering project is led by Colin Bendel, Enterprise’s business transformation project manager. The system has been showcased during Enterpriselive, the series of roadshows for publicans that is currently ongoing.
The system has echoes of Punch Taverns’ Buying Club, the company’s online ordering system that was last named Best Business Initiative at the Publican Awards.
