A group of 20 Spirit Pub Company employees have proved they are “simply the best” at the company’s annual Best Awards, recognising the most outstanding employees from across the operations team and support centre.

The awards, which included Apprentice of the Year, Team Player of the Year and Support Team Employee of the Year, were handed out by chief executive officer Mike Tye at a lavish awards ceremony at the Birmingham Metropole.

Accolade

Taking the top accolade of General Manager of the Year was Dritan Qosja, of London Taylor Walker pub, the Stanhope, in Kensington.

Dritan was recognised for achieving consistent phenomenal sales growth over the past four years, and also took the title of Metropolitan Sector General Manager of the Year.

Dritan, who won £1,500 in holiday vouchers, said: “I’m absolutely over the moon and shocked that I’ve won the awards! To be recognised at this level is such an honour, I work tirelessly with the team to innovate and drive the business forward and this award is a testament to the fantastic work we all do.”
