A pair of West Midlands-based entrepreneurs have formed a new pub group under the banner Suburban Inns and opened their first site — the Village, in Moseley, Birmingham.

Adrian and Sharon Harvey have invested £800,000 into the launch of the first site in what they hope will be a number of openings in the region.

The menu, which will feature a "relaxed, modern take on British classics", has been developed by executive chef Tom Ebbon, who was formerly with Lovely Pubs.

The site will also feature the ‘Carving Platter’, a casual banqueting concept where a family or group of friends can carve an entire joint of meat at their table.

Adrian Harvey said: "Moseley is well-known for its great mix of independent businesses. We’re proud to be investing in this diverse, exciting area and look forward to becoming part of a unique, bustling community.

"Like Moseley, the Village has a distinct personality.  We’re keen that it’s a focal point for the community and for local groups seeking a welcoming gathering place."
