Pieminister seeks 100 pubs to carry bespoke pie menu
The company is looking for wet-led city pubs with ‘something special’, such as live music or a wide cask ale selection, to turn into Pieminister Pie Pubs.
So far 12 pubs have adopted the exclusive Pieminster menu and have been given full POS including window vinyls, A-boards, staff uniforms, menus and posters created by an in-house designer.
The package is designed for pubs without an existing food offer. For those without kitchen equipment it costs £1,500 to get set up and Pieminister helps. No kitchen skills are required.
Bespoke menus
"We are not after thousands of pubs," said co-founder Tristan Hogg. "We are after about 100 across the country as we are looking for very specific places that can also make our brand look good. The bespoke menus work as it is a simple offer, but done really well."
The pies make around 60% GP and publicans are free to choose which pies they sell.
The company’s eleventh pie shop opens in Camden tomorrow (24 October) until 17 November.
The company aims to open around 20 more pie shops UK-wide including all the big cities. Pieminister will sell around 3.5m pies this year with a projected figure of 4m for 2014.
