Boxes are already installed in more than 100 venues across the country and will now be activated in the 26 pubs owned by the North East based pub operator. It will allow licensees to create channels with a range of features from social media feeds to news, weather, bespoke adverts and interactive games.
The system, from technology company Screach, is designed for licensees to make use of their TV when there is no live sport to engage customers and keep them in the pub for longer. The box is free to setup and install, with content available via subscription.
Engaging
Wear Inns operations director Scott Weir said: "We have been working with Screach for the past six months to develop a product that is both informative and engaging for our customers.
"We are pleased to announce the rolling out of ScreachTV to the remaining of our sites as we feel that it provides us with the perfect tool to promote our business quickly and efficiently to our customers, as well as providing an excellent commercial opportunity.”
ScreachTV launched in the UK and US earlier this year and allows venue owners to display tweets and Facebook posts, beam out the latest headlines, or invite customers to play along on their smartphones with interactive pub quizzes and jukeboxes.
Licensees can also share details of offers or events by creating their own adverts, sell the space to local businesses and create a loyalty scheme by delivering offers and rewards delivered straight to the customer’s phone.
