Pubs recognised for interior design in Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2013

Pubs and bars with impressive interior design have been shortlisted in the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2013.

The Hall & Woodhouse in Portishead, Somerset; Newman Street Tavern, Fitzrovia, central London; the Libertine, Bournemouth, Dorset; Faucet Inn’s the Old Shades, Westminster, central London; JD Wetherspoon’s (JDW) Queen’s Picture House, Liverpool; and the Tokenhouse, City of London, have been shortlisted in the pubs category.

Venues shortlisted for Best London Bar are: Bounce in Holborn and Colony Club in Mayfair, both in central London; the John Salt, Islington, north London; Crystal Bar at the Wellesley hotel, Knightsbridge, central London; the Gantry, Brockley, and the Roxy, The Borough, both in south London.

Those shortlisted for Best Standalone Bar or Club are: Bitter Sweet in Soho, central London; Cloud 23, Manchester; Dukebox, Chelsea, west London; Fire Island, Cardiff; Golden Bee, Shoreditch, east London; Moo, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire; and Lost & Found, Birmingham.

Shortlisted venues for Best Multiple Bar or Club are: Adventure Bar, Clapham, south-west London; Baa Bar,  Leeds; Baroosh, Marlow, Buckinghamshire; Barrio East, Shoreditch, east London; Camino, City of London; and JDW Cribbar, Newquay, Cornwall.

Entries were received from 60 countries, as well as the UK.

Winners will be named on 12 September at the Farmiloe Building in Clerkenwell, City of London.
