The Great British Beer Festival (GBBF), which runs from 13 to 17 August at London’s Olympia, will showcase more than 800 real ales, ciders and perries from producers across the UK.
This year is the 25th birthday of ‘APPLE’, the Campaign for Real Ale’s cider and perry arm, and GBBF organisers plan to mark the occasion with one of the largest cider bars to be found at any UK festival.
Meanwhile, international bars will be serving up imported beers from countries such as Italy, Germany, Belgium, France and Japan.
As is traditional, the Champion Beer of Britain will be announced on the first day. Coniston Brewery’s No 9 Barley Wine took the top honour last year.
More than 55,000 beer lovers are expected to attend across the five days. Visit www.gbbf.org.uk.
