Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge, who operates the award-winning Hand and Flowers in Marlow, is it host a new TV series on BB2 this summer where he reveals how to cook the best ever pub food dishes.

The six-show series Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food will also see the chef visits other pubs and food producers that are pushing the boundaries when it comes to food.

Kerridge will also visit suppliers to provide tips on what to look for to get the best ingredients for specific styles of cooking – for example which cut of beef to choose for your Sunday roast.

Outline Productions’ director of programmes Bridget Boseley said: “Tom is all about flavour - he makes ordinary dishes extraordinary. He cooks robust food that everyone wants to eat. This isn’t fast food - its food that takes a little bit more time, love and attention to make. His food is not pretentious but good honest food. Proper pub food is what he does to perfection.”

Under Kerridge’s supervision the Hand and Flowers became the world’s first ever two Michelin star pub. Earlier this year, it was name the top pub in PMA’s Top 50 Gastropub Awards.
