Two senior directors resign from BII
Two directors of the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) have resigned in quick succession for personal reasons.

Tim Burrows, who was appointed director of education and training in September last year, will leave the BII at the end of June, while Henry Bennett, who has served as director of finance since March 2010, will depart in August.

CEO Tim Hulme said: “Tim and Henry will both be missed. I’d like to thank them for their contribution. They had both bought into my vision and were supportive of my leadership and our direction of travel.”

Hulme added that they will not be replaced immediately on a like-for-like basis and that their departures provide the BII with an opportunity to rethink the senior management structure and consider the most appropriate skills and experience required.

Proposals for a strategic partnership with CPL training will be presented to the BII board on 4 July.
