In a statement, Daniel Butters, joint administrator and partner at Deloitte, said: “Unfortunately, as a consequence of cash flow problems, the decision was taken by the directors of Atmosphere Bars and Clubs to place the company into administration.
“We are continuing to trade the business and all venues remain open whilst seeking a sale as a going concern.”
The announcement comes just months after the appointment of Christian Rose as the group’s chief executive, replacing Paul Harbottle.
Last month Rose told M&C Report that the company was looking to trial a new-look Chicago’s later this year, which would form the basis of a “substantial” period of expansion for Atmosphere.
The company, which is backed by Sun European Partners, operates 19 Chicago’s bars, three sites under the Modello brand and two others.
