The future’s green with Element 29 vodka

A new British vodka brand, which comes in an eight-litre bag-in-box, claims to be the only ‘green’ vodka on the market.

The format for the Element 29 brand means its bottle, which comes as part of the package, can be refilled time and time again with the spirit.

“This innovation reduces packaging by 95% and also decreases transported weight by 45% and transported volume by 63%,” said Mark Douglas Hill, founder of Green Box Drinks, which created the brand.

“The carbon cost of producing and recycling glass is completely avoided and this green innovation also makes Element 29 great value, as it is the highest specification house-pour vodka on the market.”

Hill also wants licensees and consumers to make their own infused vodkas from ingredients they have foraged and steeped in the spirit.
